I recently had the most wonderful opportunity to return to Two Gander Farm to photograph them for their just-released feature in the latest issue of Southern Farm & Garden. The farm is run by the warmest, most hardworking group of people you'll ever meet, and it was such a treat to catch up with them again, and to see how far they've come since I last photographed there. The whole property is so photogenic that I took way more images than could possibly ever fit in a print feature, so I wanted to take a moment to share some of my other favorites here.
The farm looks so different than it did two years ago, most noticeably due to the incredible work the Flemmings and their crew have done to achieve their organic certification, and to expand their crops and irrigation system. They're still committed as ever to preserving the protected watershed that adjoins the farmland. If you haven't already found them at your local farmer's market, be sure to look for them at Bryn Mawr & Dickinson Square, or sign up for their winter CSA.
Many thanks to Southern Farm & Garden for this chance to share my work and the farm with their readers - enjoy the full interview, including more from Deirdre on their partnership with the Brandywine Conservancy by picking up the issue at your local Barnes & Noble or ordering online.
