My newly-turned four-year-old is a huge fan of Curious George. And elevators. And trains. And buses. Unsurprisingly, we read "Curious George in the Big City" fairly often around here--it brings all his interests into convergence in a single story. And so, for his birthday, instead of getting him a new toy or clothes he doesn't care about, we gave him what we hope to be a little more valuable to him: our time & undivided attention, in the form of his own special trip to the city. Although, unlike the original story, he was most definitely not allowed to roam Philly alone. Here's a small--no really, this is less than half of the complete image set--sample of what his big day out looked like. Actual birthday post to follow. Hope you enjoyed your adventure, my little monkey!
